+ Photographic Journey
Project completed Fall 2014.
The objective of this project was to create a visual story through a collection of photographs. We were instructed to shoot a subject outside of our daily interactions to challenge our perspective. I decided to take photos of a kindergarten class. I followed a class around on three separate days to get a better understanding of a day in the life of a kindergartener. My goal for this project was to focus on portraits and black and white compositions.

+ Boys Hope Girls Hope (BHGH) Cincinnati
Project completed during a 24 hour design blitz Fall 2014.
During my second co-op term, volunteers at LPK made up three teams and participated in a 24 hour design blitz. My team of 10 people was paired with Boys Hope Girls Hope (BHGH) Cincinnati, a foundation to house and support underprivileged students during their educational years. Each team had a different design challenge based on the needs of the Cincinnati area non-profit they were designing for. By creating a video for the BHGH organization we hoped to raise awareness to help them gain sponsors and expand their program.
During the 24 hour period our team went on site and interviewed the kids living in the BHGH houses, played games, ate dinner and gathered a better understanding of what the organization stood for. We also edited the video and created the graphics in the video. My role specifically was to gather as much b-roll footage on site as possible. Our team watched and collected usable footage in the editing stage, and then I put together the end screen for the video.

+Title Sequence
Project completed Spring 2015.
The final project in my first time based class was to create an opening title sequence for a movie. We were assigned the movie title, director and actors, but the storyline and genre were open to interpretation. I chose horror/suspense as my genre and decided to take my own photos. By distressing them physically I was able to create an uneasy overall tone for the sequence. Photos were then scanned into the computer and the rest of the project was completed using Adobe After Effects.
